The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beanington throws a series of punches but Shepherd moves out of range.

Shepherd rushes Beanington and presses him up against the cage.
Beanington is trying to maintain a safe position but Shepherd gets an underhook and turns Beanington into the cage.
Beanington has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Shepherd is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Shepherd breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Beanington shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shepherd defends it nicely.

We've been hearing reports that Shepherd has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Oh but Beanington is tightening it up a little... Shepherd has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Shepherd reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Shepherd taps out! Nice BJJ there by Beanington!
