PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Atanase Teodor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Clarke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teodor comes to the cage accompanied by Oy to Ne Vecher. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Atanase Teodor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Clarke!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarke looks to land a right hand but Teodor moved out of range.
Teodor cracks the inside of Clarke's front leg.
Teodor misses with an attempted mid kick.
Clarke is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Teodor lands a jab to the nose.
Clarke takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Clarke chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Teodor can pounce on him.
Clarke throws a series of punches but Teodor avoids them all with ease.
Teodor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Clarke was well out of range. Poor timing from Teodor.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Clarke! But no joy.
Teodor listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Teodor lands with a kick to the ribs.
Teodor wants to land a leg kick but Clarke is out of range.
Clarke appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Clarke throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Teodor lands a big head kick that sends Clarke tumbling to the mat! Teodor takes a step backwards and waves Clarke back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Clarke is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Teodor lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Clarke up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Teodor from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Clarke's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Atanase Teodor!
