Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Gillington!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gillington slaps away a takedown attempt from Kalionidou, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kalionidou shoots for a double leg takedown but Gillington sprawls well. He's pushed Kalionidou's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kalionidou is breathing heavily.

Kalionidou gets caught flat footed, as Gillington shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kalionidou utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Gillington drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kalionidou manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gillington has Kalionidou in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gillington wants to sweep here but Kalionidou controlling him for the moment.

Gillington lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gillington is pushing down on Kalionidou's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kalionidou is fighting to maintain full guard but Gillington has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gillington changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kalionidou looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gillington throws an elbow but Kalionidou slips to the side and avoids it well.
Gillington is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
