PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adam Carolla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carolla comes into the arena with Gotta Get It On from Taboo 2 blaring out of the sound system. Coleman is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Johnny Cash - Solitary Man. Adam Carolla has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 55 - 50 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adam Carolla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 45 - 39 - 3, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carolla scores with a jab to the body.
Coleman avoids a punch combination nicely.
Coleman with the counter takedown but Carolla avoids it easily.
Carolla throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Coleman fails with the takedown.
It looked like Carolla was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Carolla stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carolla wants it to stay on the feet.
Carolla scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

and Coleman counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Carolla kicks Coleman off and gets back to his feet.
Carolla wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Adam Carolla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Coleman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Carolla is looking to regain half guard here but Coleman keeps moving and retains side control.

Carolla wants to lay and pray for a moment but Coleman keeps working.

Carolla is looking to take a break and control but Coleman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

and Coleman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carolla won't be happy with that.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coleman drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Carolla defends it well.

Carolla has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Coleman has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Coleman has a couple of punches blocked by Carolla.
A frustrated look appears on Carolla's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Coleman lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Carolla wants to break the clinch but can't.
Carolla's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Carolla fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Coleman manages to avoid it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Adam Carolla will probably get the nod.

And Coleman tries to counter it with a takedown but Carolla pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carolla, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
