Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan has chosen Girlfriend as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Steve Rogers has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Steve Rogers seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 55 - 28 - 5, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jake Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan tries a low kick but Rogers avoids it.
Sloppy strikes from Rogers. Those never looked like landing.
Ryan swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Ryan misses with a hook. Rogers ducked under it nicely.
Rogers throws a big counter combination but Ryan scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Rogers displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ryan throws out the jab.
Ryan scores with a jab to the body.
Rogers throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rogers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rogers moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Rogers tries for a takedown but Ryan circles away easily
and Ryan counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Rogers drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Ryan has his feet on Rogers's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rogers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ryan swivels and escapes.
Rogers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ryan.
Ryan is looking to clinch.
Rogers went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Ryan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rogers counters with a left and a right that stings Ryan.
Ryan misses with a hook.
Steve Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ryan thows a left - swing and a miss!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rogers tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ryan is able to avoid easily.
Rogers backing away here, and Ryan unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Rogers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ryan throws a shot from downtown. Rogers moves away and avoids it.
Ryan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rogers closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Ryan is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rogers.
Rogers doesn't manage to clinch there - Ryan circles away.
Ryan closes the distance and clinches up with Rogers, looking for a takedown. Ryan pushes Rogers against the cage but Rogers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ryan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rogers.
Rogers lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Rogers takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rogers just misses with a punch to the body.
Rogers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rogers on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Rogers misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ryan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rogers.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Rogers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Donk. Ryan catches Rogers right on the button with a cross.

Ryan tries to sprawl but Rogers drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Ryan manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Rogers keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Rogers blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Rogers wants a takedown but no success here.

Rogers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ryan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rogers pinned against the cage. Rogers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rogers takes one on the chin but seems OK.


Rogers is rocked!
Rogers circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Ryan. Rogers falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Ryan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jake Ryan!
A pretty intense looking Jake Ryan took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
