Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Pugh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez misses with a double jab.

Pugh closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rodriguez's guard.
Rodriguez has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Pugh off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pugh working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Pugh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rodriguez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Pugh throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rodriguez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pugh is in Rodriguez's guard.
Pugh has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
