Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Walcott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marek Lowca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Walcott has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, George Walcott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marek Lowca!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walcott manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lowca on his heels. He'll look to pass Lowca's guard now, I'm sure.
Lowca is looking to stand back up but Walcott counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lowca.

Walcott wants to take a breather but Lowca is having none of it.
Lowca tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Walcott has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Walcott lands a big elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lowca is bucking up trying to escape but Walcott cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Lowca manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Walcott passes the guard and advances to mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Walcott is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lowca to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lowca shrugs it off.
Walcott tries to control but Lowca wriggling away.
Lowca tries to reverse the position but Walcott maintains control.

Walcott jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lowca manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Lowca avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Walcott.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lowca taking punishment in the form of punches.
Walcott trying to control the position but Lowca is working away.
Walcott really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Walcott tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lowca can do anything to dispel that myth.
Walcott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lowca keeps working.
Walcott cracks Lowca with a big elbow.
Walcott will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Walcott trying to control the position but Lowca is working away.
Walcott is really struggling to control Lowca but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Lowca has eaten all the pies!
Walcott landing a few strikes.
Walcott working the ground and pound from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walcott scores with punches from side control.
Lowca looks winded!
Walcott takes a little break here. Lowca wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Walcott tries for a kimura but Lowca is defending well.
Walcott has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Lowca!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walcott with the ground and pound from mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Walcott trying to control but Lowca is having none of it.

Walcott working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Walcott dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Walcott throws a series of punches but Lowca avoids them all with ease.

Walcott drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Walcott wants to control but Lowca is keeping him busy.
Lowca tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Walcott controlling the pace for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walcott is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lowca can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Walcott can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lowca is looking to escape.
Lowca is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lowca really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walcott. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Walcott get's back to his feet.

Walcott clinches up with Lowca and pushes him back against the cage.
Walcott misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Lowca throws a knee to the head but misses.

Walcott manages to pull guard.
Walcott controls Lowca momentarily but Lowca frees himself.
George Walcott overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Walcott lands some strikes from the bottom.

Walcott has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Lowca has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Lowca is trying to stall.
Lowca lands an elbow that stopped Walcott in his tracks for a moment.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Walcott is trying to force a seperation but Lowca has the dominant position.
Lowca lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Lowca is pushing Walcott up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Lowca keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Walcott's efforts to push away.
Lowca is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Walcott breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lowca moves into the clinch.

Walcott successfully pulls guard.
Lowca wants to pass the guard but Walcott is keeping the position.
Walcott looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Walcott is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Walcott looking for a sweep. Not yet Walcott, not yet.
Walcott looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Walcott is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lowca defends well.
Lowca prevents Walcott from getting back to his feet.
Lowca wants to control from the top but Walcott keeps moving.
Walcott bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lowca's guard.


Walcott stands up and waves to Lowca to follow him.

Walcott fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lowca sprawls well initially but Walcott persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Lowca tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Walcott manages to move to mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Walcott dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Walcott shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Walcott thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lowca's head.
Walcott looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lowca with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Walcott wants to take a breather but Lowca is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walcott works his way into full mount!
Lowca is trying desperately to improve position.
Lowca takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walcott scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Walcott landing punches.
Walcott wants to control the pace but Lowca is squirming around nicely.
Walcott postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Lowca in real trouble here! The ref calls for Lowca to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Walcott!
