Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lon Dillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregg Gilligan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lon Dillon has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lon Dillon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregg Gilligan!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dillon.
Gilligan is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Dillon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gilligan.
Dillon lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Gilligan clinches with his opponent.

Gilligan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gilligan has Dillon up against the cage in a clinch.
Dillon is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Dillon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dillon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gilligan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dillon will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Gilligan up against the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dillon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Dillon looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Gilligan rushes Dillon and presses him up against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Dillon takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Dillon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gilligan walks away with a smile on his face. Dillon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've been informed that Gilligan has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Dillon is breathing heavily.

Gilligan darts in and clinches Dillon up against the cage.
Gilligan lands with a left to the head.
Gilligan effectively controlling the action here.
Dillon lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Gilligan has Dillon pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gilligan pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Dillon tumbling to the mat - Gilligan dives into Dillon's guard.

Well Gilligan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
