Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tran comes to the cage accompanied by Blockbuster Night Part 1. Mason comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Darude - Sandstorm kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Max Mason will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Max Mason!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tran is looking to clinch.
Tran looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Tran takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Mason throws a head kick but Tran moves out of range.
Mason circles away from the clinch attempt.

Tran tries to keep at a distance but Mason has taken the fight into the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Mason throws an elbow but it misses.
A nice left hand lands by Mason.
Mason pushes Tran back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Tran definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Tran managing to block the knees to the body from Mason.
Mason lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Mason is leaning against Tran and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Mason using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Tran has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

We've been informed that Mason has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Tran throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mason blocks it with crossed arms.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tran goes for a takedown attempt but Mason pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Mason works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Mason steps in with a hook that catches Tran right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Mason follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Tran looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Mason!
Max Mason thanked the fans post fight for their support.
Andrew Tran was interviewed post fight and said 'Well It Wasn't My Best Fight, But I Will Train Hard To Get Back In The Game And Win My Next Fight.'.
