The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ioannidis throws a body kick that misses
and Kimura counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ioannidis won't be happy with that.
Kimura tries for a kimura but Ioannidis is defending well.
Ioannidis is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kimura asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Ioannidis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kimura was covering up waiting for the punch and Ioannidis finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ioannidis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Kimura isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ioannidis stacks Kimura on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ioannidis!

Kimura tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ioannidis knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kimura wants to work for an arm triangle but Ioannidis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kimura goes for a cartwheel guard pass here but Ioannidis does a handstand and catches Kimura in mid air with a triangle! Could it be? It is! It's the triple decker pecker wrecker! The fighters land on the ground with Ioannidis on top - Kimura is already out from the submission! Ioannidis gives Kimura's pecker the obligatory post submission twist and this one is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall over! Are you kidding me! That is world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. That guy is my hero!
