Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between BIG GARLIN (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slice has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Johnny Slice enters the cage!

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice throws a sloppy head kick and GARLIN moves out of range easily.
Slice looks gassed!

GARLIN shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Slice really doesn't want to stay on the ground with GARLIN. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
GARLIN throwing shots but Slice is blocking nicely.
Slice is trying to stand.
GARLIN looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Slice can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Slice is trying to escape back to his feet but GARLIN uses the scramble to pass into side control.
GARLIN happy to just control the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slice wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Slice is not content to let GARLIN control the position.

GARLIN lands a nice forearm strike.
A lull in the action here.

GARLIN decides to stand up, so the ref orders Slice to his feet.
GARLIN throws a nice looking combination but Slice bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
GARLIN pulls out of a head kick attempt.
GARLIN throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

BIG GARLIN seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
GARLIN tries to clinch there but Slice circles away.
GARLIN stuns Slice with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

GARLIN has Slice up against the cage in a clinch.

GARLIN lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

GARLIN is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

GARLIN stands up and beckons Slice to his feet.

Slice gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

GARLIN tries to pass the half guard into mount. Slice knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

GARLIN gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Slice drops his hands momentarily and GARLIN takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

GARLIN shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than GARLIN was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Slice's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Slice wants to get back to his feet.
GARLIN controlling his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

BIG GARLIN dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

GARLIN tries to clinch but Slice is having none of it.

GARLIN looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
GARLIN could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
GARLIN takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Slice wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
GARLIN throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

GARLIN is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Still in half guard, GARLIN seems content to control.

GARLIN prevents Slice from standing back up.
GARLIN wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slice keeps working.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
GARLIN fails in his attempt to clinch.

GARLIN will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Slice takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
GARLIN lands with a straight right. Slice didn't see that one coming.

GARLIN moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Slice throws a left and a right that both miss
and GARLIN counters with a three punch combo that has Slice backing up. Slice nods at GARLIN to acknowledge the strikes.
Slice connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Slice uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by GARLIN.
Slice throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
BIG GARLIN is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Slice wants to get back to his feet.

GARLIN looking to control but Slice is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
GARLIN is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Slice is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

GARLIN has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

GARLIN moves into range and clinches up with Slice.
A bit of stalling here from GARLIN.

GARLIN breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
GARLIN moves in looking to clinch but Slice pushes him off.
GARLIN steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Slice. That one must have hurt.
GARLIN shoots in but no luck this time.

GARLIN misses with a two punch combination.

GARLIN moves into the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
GARLIN tries to score a body lock takedown but Slice shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
GARLIN is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Slice gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Slice is pressed up against the cage. GARLIN has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Slice down to the mat. Slice avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

GARLIN throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
GARLIN tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slice paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Slice throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Slice. That's going to slow GARLIN down.
GARLIN lands with a kick to the temple. Slice shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A left and a right from Slice both land. Nice combination.
GARLIN swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Slice counters with a left and a right that stings GARLIN.
Slice fakes the leg kick and cracks GARLIN in the body.
A head kick by GARLIN misses
and Slice counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Slice stalks GARLIN and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into GARLIN's face. GARLIN staggers backwards, shaken.
GARLIN throws a head kick that misses.
Slice blocks a head kick by GARLIN.
GARLIN throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Slice throws a sloppy head kick and GARLIN moves out of range easily.
GARLIN misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A shot to de liver by GARLIN. Beautiful body shot.
GARLIN throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Johnny Slice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice takedown defense from Slice. No joy for GARLIN on that attempt.
GARLIN throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Slice.
Slice misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
GARLIN is looking to wear down Slice with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
GARLIN fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
GARLIN shoots for a takedown but Slice saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

GARLIN catches Slice with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Slice throws a left and a right that both miss
and Slice takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

GARLIN shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Slice's guard.
GARLIN throwing strikes but missing.
GARLIN prevents Slice from getting back to his feet.
Slice wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and GARLIN manages to pass to side control.
Slice is trying to stand up here but GARLIN is controlling him well.
Slice is trying to escape back to his feet but GARLIN uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Slice pushes GARLIN away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, GARLIN gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Well GARLIN has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
