The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Boets lands with a straight right. Red didn't see that one coming.
Red looks to throw the jab but Boets is out of range.

Boets has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Boets thuds his right hand into Red's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Red definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A lazy left from Boets finds it's target.

Red throws the left hand but Boets avoids the punch easily.

Boets swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Red needs to keep his hands up - Boets had a free shot at his head there.

Red wants to slow Boets down by chopping away at his legs.
Boets is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Boets smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Boets swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Red.

Red slips a jab and a cross from Boets.
Boets looks to land a left hand but Red moved out of range nicely.
Red misses with a looping left.
Boets tries to close the distance and clinch up but Red swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Boets just misses with a punch to the body.
Red throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A right-left combo lands from Boets.
Red tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Red misses with a looping right.
Boets looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Boets swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boets tests Red's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Boets throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Boets counters with a nice double leg into side control. Red won't be happy with that.

Boets is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Red has escaped the position, nice work there.
Red is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Red on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Red tries to get out of the position.
Boets fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Red is trying to buck Boets off.
