Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Ray!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ray uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jackson.
Ray showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jackson.
Ray shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jackson pinned against the cage. Jackson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ray throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jackson's head.


It looks like Homer Jackson has been cut.
Ray is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ray tries to keep at a distance but Jackson has taken the fight into the clinch.
The referee calls for Ray to work.

Jackson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ray looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ray stands up over Jackson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Robert Ray showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Ray thows a body shot but no joy.
Jackson throws a jab but it's blocked by Ray.
Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson throws a low kick, looking for Ray's leg but Ray calmly moves out of range.
Ray uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jackson.

and Ray counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard.
Ray sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jackson's guard.

Ray seems to be looking for submissions.

Jackson manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jackson throws a leg kick which misses Ray's front leg but catches the back leg as Ray tries to avoid it.
Ray tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Robert Ray comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ray has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
