Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paddy Kubiak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Malmqvist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malmqvist is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Oy to ne vecher. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malmqvist ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kubiak keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Malmqvist. Those never looked like landing.
Kubiak with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Malmqvist to score with a decent uppercut.

Malmqvist fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kubiak sprawls well initially but Malmqvist persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Malmqvist is thwarting Kubiak's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kubiak wants to improve his position but Malmqvist is controlling well.

Kubiak is staying active underneath Malmqvist, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Malmqvist looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kubiak with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kubiak drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Malmqvist manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kubiak has Malmqvist in his guard.

Malmqvist has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kubiak to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Malmqvist is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kubiak pulls down on the head and he's put Malmqvist to sleep! This one is all over!
