The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abreu closes the distance and clinches.
Vukovic jumps guard and drags Abreu to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Vukovic takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Vukovic looks to land a combination but Abreu avoids it well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vukovic has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Abreu is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Vukovic will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
