Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Apollo Gutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Dietrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dietrich has chosen Mother- Danzig as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gutz drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gutz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dietrich pulls Gutz in close to his closed guard and prevents Gutz from doing any damage or advancing position.
Gutz is looking to work some ground and pound but Dietrich has wrist control.
Gutz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dietrich is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Gutz wants to control from the top but Dietrich keeps moving.

Gutz feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dietrichs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

A quick step to the side and Gutz tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dietrich lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Dietrich fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nice straight punches there by Gutz. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gutz.
Gutz has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gutz Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Dietrich lands a left and a right that send Gutz crashing to the mat, dazed. Dietrich thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Gutz is rocked!

It looks like Apollo Gutz has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dietrich misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gutz.
Oh Gutz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gutz moves away from the strike by Dietrich.
Gutz swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Gutz seems to have got his legs back now.
Gutz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dietrich.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dietrich looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dietrich throws a nice looking combination but Gutz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Gutz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Dietrich won't allow Gutz to pass to mount.

Gutz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dietrich's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dietrich is staying active underneath Gutz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Dietrich lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gutz backwards.

The referee calls for Gutz to work.

Gutz manages to break the clinch.
Dietrich throws a body punch but Gutz moves out of range.
Gutz appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Dietrich throws a poor cross that misses
and Gutz counters with a nice uppercut.
Dietrich throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gutz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice shot lands for Gutz.
Gutz throws the left hand but Dietrich avoids the punch easily.
Hans Dietrich is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
and Gutz counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Dietrich! He's just covering up as Gutz starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

During a confident post fight interview, Apollo Gutz thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
