The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Williams, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Williams has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Williams misses with a jab, cross combination.
Williams throws a series of punches but Mambo moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Mambo. Those never looked like landing.
Williams will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A jab from Mambo finds it's way through Williams's defenses.

It looks like Rangi Williams has been cut.
Mambo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Williams at a distance.
Williams looks winded!
Nice body punch from Mambo.

Mambo drops Williams with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Williams looks back up at him and smiles so Mambo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Williams is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mambo is stalking Williams. Williams circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Mambo, and it's lights out! Williams really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
