Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Saem Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carvalho has chosen Megaman Theme Music as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jonas Carvalho!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black tries to sprawl but Carvalho drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Carvalho is keen to just control but Black is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Black is looking to improve his position.
Carvalho with the ground and pound but Black uses the opportunity to regain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carvalho stands up over Black, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Black has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Black might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Carvalho is fighting to break Black's control of his arms but Black is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Carvalho fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Black manages to avoid it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carvalho can do anything to dispel that myth.
Carvalho tries to bench press Black off him but Black keeps the position.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Black lands some shots froms side control.
Carvalho dodges the ground and pound from Black.

Black is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Carvalho will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Carvalho wants to get back to his feet but Black drags him back down.
Carvalho can't do much from the bottom here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Black gets tackled into the cage by Carvalho. Carvalho maintains the clinch.
Carvalho misses with a body punch.
Black is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Carvalho can do to turn this around?
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Black blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Carvalho is working for takedown but Black is calmly controlling the position for now.

Carvalho is stalling here. Black is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Carvalho seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Black has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Carvalho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Black. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Carvalho looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Black tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Carvalho's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Black counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carvalho won't be happy with that.

Carvalho explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carvalho.
Black half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Saem Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonas Carvalho.

Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Carvalho!

It looks like Saem Black has been cut.
Carvalho misses with a straight right.
Carvalho rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Black moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Black counters with a shoot takedown. Carvalho fights it but they end up in guard.
Black has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Carvalho is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Black off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Black seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Black lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Black has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Carvalho's body.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Black is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Black gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Black gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Black apologises and we restart here on the feet.

and Black shoots in for a double leg counter - driving through into a slam and Carvalho is out! The slam has knocked him out cold! Devastating for Carvalho but Black is celebrating as the crowd goes wild!
