The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taparzo scores with a nice right hand.
We've been hearing reports that Bamh has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bamh takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Taparzo uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Bamh throws a left and a right that both miss

Taparzo tries to throw a body punch but Bamh avoids it by throwing Taparzo back against the cage.

Bamh tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Taparzo just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ngoc Bamh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bamh misses with a hook from the clinch.
Taparzo's coach down at Black Hand Vegas was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Taparzo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Bamh tightens his grip and picks Taparzo up, before dumping him to the ground. Taparzo manages to land in guard.

Taparzo pushes Bamh off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Bamh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bamh is breathing heavily.
Taparzo fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Bamh square on the jaw! Damn, Bamh is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
