The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis stalks English and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into English's face. English staggers backwards, shaken.
Ellis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and English counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by English.
Ellis tries to break free but English pushes him back against the cage.
Ellis is trying to push English away but English has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
English lands a knee to the body.

English decides to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ellis looking to sit in guard and control but English gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

English scoring with some ground and pound.
English prevents Ellis from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
English lands a couple of elbows.
English works over Ellis with some ground and pound from guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
English with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

It looks like Andrew Ellis has been cut.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
English arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Ellis's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
