Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Bullard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks comes to the cage accompanied by 2nd Sucks - A Day To Remember. Bullard comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wrecking Ball kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Calvin Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Bullard!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bullard swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Brooks shoots in but no luck this time.

Brooks closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bullard to the mat! Bullard manages to get full guard.
Bullard keeping moving, preventing Brooks from controlling successfully.
Brooks in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bullard wants to stand up but Brooks is controlling him.

Brooks thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Brooks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brooks tries to free his leg and advance position but Bullard is retaining full guard.
Bullard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brooks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brooks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Brooks makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bullard can do anything to dispel that myth.

Brooks misses with a takedown attempt - Bullard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Brooks moves forwards but Bullard connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Brooks fails with the takedown.
Brooks tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bullard defends well and Brooks ends up having to push Bullard into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bullard clobbers Brooks with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Brooks closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bullard's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bullard is looking to stand up but Brooks isn't so interested in that idea.

Bullard pushes Brooks off looking to stand but Brooks dives back in and keeps control.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bullard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brooks was well out of range. Poor timing from Bullard.

Brooks closes the distance and clinches up with Bullard, looking for a takedown. Brooks pushes Bullard against the cage but Bullard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Brooks looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Brooks shoots in but no luck this time.
