The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vasara drives through and clinches with Romero against the cage.

Romero breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Vasara cracks the inside of Romero's front leg.
Romero connects with a solid leg kick.
Vasara swinging wildly here.
Vasara connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Romero momentarily.

It looks like Rodniel Romero has been cut.

Romero throws a left that rocks Vasara and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Romero dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Vasara regain composure!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vasara trying to remain calm as Romero controls from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Romero in side control, throwing shots but Vasara defends.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vasara is trying to control Romero's posture but Romero avoids it.
Romero wants to control but Vasara is keeping him busy.

Vasara wants to get back to his feet but Romero drags him back down.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Romero tries to keep at a distance but Vasara has taken the fight into the clinch.

Vasara swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Vasara misses with a jab, cross combination.

Vasara clinches with his opponent.
Vasara is pushing Romero up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Romero is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Vasara is defending well for now.
Romero is trying to break the clinch but Vasara is controlling him.

Vasara manages to break the clinch.

Vasara uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Romero.
Romero misses with a two punch combination.
Romero avoids a kick to the body.
Romero misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Romero cracks a nice hook into Vasara's ribs.
Vasara throws a wild hook but Romero just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Vasara gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Romero raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Rodniel Romero tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
