The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McCrystal fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Midas, pushing him back against the cage.
Midas throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
McCrystal lands a nice shot to the body.
Midas content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Midas smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

McCrystal shoots in but Midas avoids the takedown attempt easily.

We've been informed that McCrystal has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The cut above Basil McCrystal's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
A solid leg kick lands there for Midas.
Midas goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

McCrystal tries to close the distance and clinch but Midas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Basil McCrystal's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Midas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Basil McCrystal's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
