Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavin Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Gavin Freeman enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Teddy Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gavin Freeman!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman lands with a thumping leg kick.
Freeman connects with a body shot.
Freeman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dean swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Freeman throws a predictable looking body shot

so Dean counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Freeman wants to sweep here but Dean controlling him for the moment.
Freeman has his hands on Dean's head, controlling the position.

Dean thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Dean trying to control but Freeman is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dean pushing down on Freeman's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Dean is looking for a kimura but Freeman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dean to get the leverage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Freeman tries to free his leg and advance position but Dean is retaining full guard.
Freeman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Freeman trying to control but Dean is working from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dean displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Freeman throws out the jab.
Freeman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Dean appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

It looks like Teddy Dean has been cut.
Dean tries for a takedown but Freeman manages to get underhooks.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dean is trying to pull guard but Freeman has him pressed against the cage.
Freeman gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Freeman pushes Dean back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Freeman tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Dean is looking for a kimura but Freeman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dean to get the leverage.

Dean seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Freeman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Freeman is looking for a triangle but Dean pushes his legs off easily.

Dean is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Freeman tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Dean drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Freeman dives on top into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Freeman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dean. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dean takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Freeman is looking to clinch.
Dean changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Dean uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Freeman.
Dean takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Freeman scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Dean takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Freeman misses with a wild body shot.
Freeman cracks Dean with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Dean decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Freeman's guard.

Dean postures up.
Dean pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Freeman is keeping the position for now.
Dean wants to control from the top but Freeman keeps moving.

Dean drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Freeman dives on top into guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gavin Freeman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freeman connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Freeman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dean manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Dean counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Freeman pushes Dean off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

A close second round but Gavin Freeman will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Good leg kick by Freeman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dean doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Freeman throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Dean attempts a counter takedown but Freeman avoids it well and moves away.
Freeman moves in looking to clinch but Dean pushes him off.

Dean sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Freeman's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Freeman has his foot on Dean's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dean works his way back into a safe position though.

Dean drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dean jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Dean is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Freeman is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Freeman has escaped and now he's on top!

Freeman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The fighters circle momentarily. Freeman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Freeman throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Freeman looks to score with a jab to the body but Dean is just out of range.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gavin Freeman seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Freeman tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Dean has Freeman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Freeman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Freeman crunches a lovely knee into Dean's ribcage.
Freeman is stalling here.
Dean takes an elbow to the temple.
Teddy Dean has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gavin Freeman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Gavin Freeman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Freeman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
