Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alfredo Burt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Watts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alfredo Burt has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alfredo Burt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Watts!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watts misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Watts shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Watts was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Burt is looking to regain half guard here but Watts keeps moving and retains side control.
Burt is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Watts off and has taken his back!

Burt patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Watts turns into Burt and is now in his guard.
Watts with a flurry of punches that miss.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Watts wants to control from the top but Burt keeps moving.
Burt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Watts passes Burt's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Burt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Burt.
Watts wants to control from the top but Burt keeps moving.
Burt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Watts advances position into side control!
Burt managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Watts.

Watts wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Burt, who protects the arm well.
Burt is not content to let Watts control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Watts stands up.
Burt avoids a kick to the body.
As Watts looks to move away, Burt throws a big counter combo bu Watts just gets out of the way.

Watts feints and as Burt raises his hands in defense, Watts changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Watts stopping the sweep attempt from Burt.
Watts slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Burt.

Watts stands up and beckons Burt to join him on the feet.

Watts manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Burt on his heels. He'll look to pass Burt's guard now, I'm sure.

Burt pushes Watts off and scrambles back to his feet.

Burt moves into range and clinches up with Watts.
Watts has Burt pressed against the cage, preventing Burt from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Watts turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Burt defending against the ground and pound.
Burt is looking for a sweep.
Watts looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Burt is avoiding damage well.
Burt pushes Watts away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Watts gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Watts decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Watts tries a head kick but it misses.

Watts decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Burt pushes Watts off and gets back to his feet.
Burt is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Watts avoids a punch combination nicely.

Watts pushes Burt up against the cage in a clinch.
Burt wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Watts has him pressed against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Watts as the two fighters clinch.

Watts breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Watts knocks Burt to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Burt is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Watts dominated that round.
That's time! Burt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Watts looks to land a combination but Burt avoids it well.
It looked like Burt was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Oh Burt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

It looks like Alfredo Burt has been cut.

Watts clinches up with Burt and pushes him back against the cage.

Watts breaks the clinch.

Watts instigates a clinch.

Watts breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Watts rushes Burt and presses him up against the cage.

Watts pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Watts is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Burt is in big trouble! Watts is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Burt. Poor guy.
