Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Casey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor comes to the cage accompanied by I have a dream. Carl Casey acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Micheal Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carl Casey!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taylor throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Casey tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Taylor is in Casey's guard.
Casey is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Taylor dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Casey tries to buck Taylor off but Taylor is having none of it.

Taylor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Taylor definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Casey wants to control but Taylor postures up.
Taylor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee asks Taylor politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Taylor prefers to stall for the moment though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taylor has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Casey wants to control but Taylor is having none of it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Taylor avoids the attempt from Casey to control.

Taylor has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Casey is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Casey covers up after that shot from Taylor.
Casey is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Taylor.
Casey tries to escape but Taylor has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Taylor sets himself, and Casey steps forward looking for the clinch! Taylor avoids it this time.

Taylor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Casey can do to turn this around?
Casey lands a nice hook to Taylor's body. Taylor takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Casey cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Casey jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Taylor walks away with a smile on his face. Casey gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Taylor closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Taylor is fighting off a takedown attempt but Casey is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Taylor to the mat. Taylor regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Taylor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Casey manages to get himself to full guard.

Casey looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Taylor trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Casey tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Casey can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Taylor controls the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Taylor slaps away a takedown attempt from Casey, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Taylor lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Casey gets a double leg takedown into Taylor's guard.
Casey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Taylor seems keen to control Casey's posture.
Taylor throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Carl Casey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Casey stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Taylor throws up his legs and catches Casey in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Casey tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Taylor! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Micheal Taylor!
An out of breath Micheal Taylor thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
