The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yongma throws a sloppy head kick and Bolton moves out of range easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Yongma.

It looks like Avery Bolton has been cut.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Yongma.

Yongma wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bolton, who protects the arm well.
Bolton is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Yongma has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Bolton gets caught flat footed, as Yongma shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bolton is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Yongma dives into side control.

Yongma throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bolton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bolton gets caught napping as Yongma dives in and scores a takedown. Bolton manages to retain guard.
Yongma wants to stand and escape but instead Bolton has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bolton lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Yongma escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bolton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bolton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yongma has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bolton has managed to get both his arms back between Yongma's legs - danger averted.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Yongma stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Yongma looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bolton is staying active underneath Yongma, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Yongma seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bolton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Yongma is stalling here. Bolton is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Yongma seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bolton has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Bolton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bolton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Avery Bolton.
I think Bolton has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
