Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mel Huff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JaMarcus Blackimus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blackimus shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Blackimus closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Huff's guard.

Blackimus drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Huff manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Blackimus has Huff in his guard.

Blackimus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Huff can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Huff is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Blackimus can do to turn this around?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Huff lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Blackimus misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blackimus throws a push kick but Huff slaps the foot to one side.

Blackimus shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Blackimus was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mel Huff.
