The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Eugemia, as that shot connected.
Eugemia tries to land a front kick but Balam steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Eugemia gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Balam counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Balam swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Eugemia misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Balam gets caught napping as Eugemia dives in and scores a takedown. Balam manages to retain guard.
Eugemia definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Balam wants to sweep but no luck.

Eugemia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Eugemia drops back looking for a leg! Balam is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Balam manages to kick Eugemia off! Eugemia jumps back into Balam's guard.

Eugemia tries to free his leg and advance position but Balam is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Balam is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Eugemia defends well.
Balam thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Eugemia has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Balam! Can he survive? No! He's out! Eugemia gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
