Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ross Gellar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dj Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gellar comes to the cage accompanied by Stray Cat Strut. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dj Shaw!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gellar plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Shaw looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Gellar misses with a wild combination.
Gellar moves in looking to clinch but Shaw pushes him off.

Gellar clinches up against the cage.
Gellar gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Shaw.
Gellar lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Shaw wants to take the fight to the mat but Gellar manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Gellar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shaw throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gellar's waist but Gellar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shaw off to one side.

Gellar slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gellar remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Shaw is pushing Gellar's head away, looking to escape. Gellar manages to hold on to the position though.

Shaw is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Gellar unloads with some shots from mount but Shaw bucks and avoids them well.

Ross Gellar spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
The defeated Dj Shaw had this to say: 'This is bullshit i had that fight he was the better fighter though so im just going to ask for a rematch'.
