Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miyamoto Musashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koji Okano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Musashi comes to the cage accompanied by Andrea Bocelli- Time to Say Goodbye. Okano is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Aalto - Resolution. Miyamoto Musashi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miyamoto Musashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Koji Okano!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okano tries to clinch up.
Musashi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Musashi thows a body shot but no joy.
Okano fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Musashi manages to avoid it.
Okano keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Okano throws a head kick but Musashi moves out of range.
Musashi gets the takedown into side control.
Okano is not content to let Musashi control the position.
Musashi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Okano has escaped the position, nice work there.
Musashi postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Musashi is looking to take a break and control but Okano is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Musashi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Okano can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Okano stops Musashi from passing to mount.
Musashi scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Okano to see if he's OK.
Musashi trying to control the action but Okano is working from the bottom.
Musashi has hold of Okano's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Okano tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Musashi cranks the arm and Okano screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Okano, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Miyamoto Musashi!
