The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlova tries to close the distance and clinch but Virtucio swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Virtucio tries to bum rush Carlova with a series of wild strikes but Carlova uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rappy Virtucio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carlova wants to clinch up but Virtucio keeps it at a distance.

Carlova lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Carlova walks straight into a right hand from Virtucio - that's dropped him! Virtucio jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Carlova from any more punishment! Carlova complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
