The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hamilton gets a clinch.
Montano tries to break the clinch but Hamilton is controlling the position.
Montano struggles to land a body shot inside as Hamilton controls his hands.
Montano fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Hamilton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hamilton goes for a double leg but Montano avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Montano continues to drive forward.

Hamilton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Montano for as long as he can get away with.

Montano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hamilton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hamilton shoots in looking for a takedown but Montano manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hamilton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
