Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Midas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brett Harrison Wells!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Wells misses the target.
Wells missing with a left hand there. Midas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Brett Harrison Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wells throws a leg kick but Midas sees it coming and moves out of range.
It appears Midas was looking to counter with a kick there.
Wells throws a shot from downtown. Midas moves away and avoids it.
Crunch! Midas slams his shin into Wells's torso.
Wells scores with a crisp jab that stopped Midas in his tracks.


It looks like Daniel Midas has been cut.
Wells scores with a nice right hand.
Midas looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wells throws out a leg kick but Midas moves out of range and Wells only half commits.
Midas throwing a counter right hand but Wells manages to avoid it.
Wells throws a head kick that misses.

Wells lands a left and a right that send Midas crashing to the mat, dazed. Wells thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Midas is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Midas uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wells.
Midas looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Midas lands a slapping body shot.
Nice body kick from Midas.
Wells takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Midas lands a right hook to the body.
Wells misses with a low kick.
Midas cracks the inside of Wells's front leg.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wells throws a lazy uppercut
and Midas counters with a body kick that stops Wells in his tracks momentarily.
Wells misses with an uppercut. Midas saw that one coming.
Nice body kick from Midas.
Wells looks winded!
Wells takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Midas with a nice cross.
Wells throws a hook to the side of Midas's head but Midas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Midas lands a big head kick that sends Wells tumbling to the mat! Midas takes a step backwards and waves Wells back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Wells is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Midas sends Wells crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Midas is motioning to the referee to let Wells up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Wells is still on wobbly legs! Can Midas finish him?
Wells does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Wells swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Midas cracks Wells with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Midas has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Wells to stand back up!
Midas seems to be stalking Wells here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Wells drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Daniel Midas!
Daniel Midas seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Brett Harrison Wells stepped up to the mic, saying 'He got me.'.
