The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Copeland counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Hofstadter has eaten all the pies!

Copeland has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hofstadter is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Copeland.

Hofstadter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Copeland looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Copeland is looking to reverse the position.

Oh Copeland is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hofstadter lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Copeland! Hofstadter senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Copeland out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
