PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Halo Barbado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devin Jagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Devin Jagger will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Devin Jagger!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbado throws a head kick but Jagger moves out of range.
Jagger unleashes a big counter combination but Barbado bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Jagger moves to clinch but Barbado breaks away

so Barbado counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Barbado showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Barbado connects with a couple of short punches.
Barbado might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Barbado is stalling in the full guard.
Jagger avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Barbado has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jagger is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Barbado defends well.

Barbado controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Barbado is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Jagger controls Barbado momentarily but Barbado frees himself.
Jagger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barbado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Barbado works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Jagger tries to roll over but Barbado keeps him under control.
Jagger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barbado is working away from the top position though.
Jagger tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Barbado has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jagger is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Barbado manages to capitalize on a mistake by Jagger to take his back!

Jagger has hold of Barbado's leg, trying to break free but it's let Barbado lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Jagger is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Barbado throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
