The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sure throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Maria tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sure is in Maria's guard.
Maria has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sure has passed into side control.
Sure landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Sure cracks Maria with a big right hand but Maria just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Sure lands an elbow.
Sure is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Maria is trying to escape and Sure transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Maria is forced to tap! Nice work there by Sure! Very nice indeed!
