Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Jarrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Mac acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Jarrett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Mac!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Jarrett looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jarrett wants to clinch up but Mac keeps it at a distance.
Mac looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Jarrett misses with a combination
and Mac counters with a straight right hand.
Mac fails with a takedown attempt.
Jarrett takes one on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mac stuffs the takedown attempt from Jarrett. Jarrett gets slowly back to his feet.
Despite the aggression on Mac's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Mac throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jarrett fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mac avoids it really well and circles away.

Mac fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mac closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jarrett circles away.
Mac moves out of range of the body kick from Jarrett.
Jarrett misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Jarrett. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mac shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jarrett pinned against the cage. Jarrett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jarrett gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Mac's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mac scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Mac changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jarrett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mac fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Jarrett throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Jarrett lands a jab to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jarrett shoots in and drives through. Mac sprawls well.
Mac shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jarrett but Jarrett pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mac looks winded!

Mac shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jarrett manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Jarrett wriggles free and stands up.

Jarrett takes the fight into the clinch.

Mac has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jarrett is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jarrett wants a takedown but no success here.
Mac prevents the takedown attempt.
Jarrett is trying to pull guard but Mac has him pressed against the cage.

Jarrett jumps guard and drags Mac to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Mac really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jarrett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mac slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Jarrett pushes Mac away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mac gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Jarrett is trying to improve his position.
Mac cracks Jarrett with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Mac is working Jarrett over with some ground and pound from side control.
Mac creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jarrett can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mac wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jarrett keeps working.
Mac fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Jarrett is working to avoid the ground and pound but Mac connects with a decent elbow.
Mac in side control lands a decent elbow.
Jarrett tries to improve position but can't.
Check out the look on Mac's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jarrett is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dan Mac will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Mac shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jarrett pinned against the cage. Jarrett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jarrett rushes Mac and presses him up against the cage.
Mac is looking to control Jarrett's arms but Jarrett gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mac has his back to the cage.
Mac wants to take the fight to the mat but Jarrett manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Jack Jarrett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Mac.

Jarrett decides to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jarrett wants to stand and escape but Mac is having none of it.
Mac lands a couple of digs.
Jarrett controls Mac momentarily but Mac frees himself.
Jarrett lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Mac is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mac avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Mac keeping full guard, as Jarrett tries to pass.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Mac keeping moving, preventing Jarrett from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jarrett shoots for a double leg takedown but Mac sprawls well. He's pushed Jarrett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mac feints the counter takedown.
Mac misses with a takedown

and Jarrett holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Mac jumps guard but Jarrett stands there with Mac around his waist. Mac gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Mac is breathing heavily.
Mac has Jarrett pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jarrett manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Mac is looking to take this one to the mat.

Jarrett decides to pull guard.

Jarrett had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mac defends it easily.

Jarrett looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Jarrett is trying to keep Mac in close.
Mac is working Jarrett over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jarrett is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jarrett is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Jarrett misses with a shot to the body
and Mac counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jarrett shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
It seemed like Mac was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Mac shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jarrett but Jarrett pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jarrett tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Mac manages to circle out of the way.
Mac darts in looking for a takedown but Jarrett gets double underhooks and turns Mac into the cage.
Jarrett avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Mac tries to keep at a distance but Jarrett has taken the fight into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jarrett lands a takedown into guard.

Mac has his feet on Jarrett's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Jarrett dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Mac shoots in for a takedown but Jarrett shows good takedown defense.
Jarrett scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Dan Mac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jarrett checks a low kick from Mac.
Jarrett tries to counter by clinching up but Mac breaks away and moves out of range.

Jarrett has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Jarrett shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mac eats them both and turns towards Jarrett to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Jarrett misses with a head kick.
Mac wants to land a leg kick but Jarrett is out of range.
Jarrett is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mac can do to turn this around?
Mac fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jarrett avoids it really well and circles away.

Mac is looking to take this one to the mat.

Jarrett gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Mac has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jarrett is on him like a limpet, forcing Mac back against the cage.
Jarrett's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Jarrett tries to break the clinch but Mac is controlling the position.
Mac has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jarrett after a bit of a struggle.
Jarrett throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mac blocks it with crossed arms.
Mac has had enough of the clinch but Jarrett keeps him there for the moment.
Mac jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jarrett walks away with a smile on his face. Mac gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jarrett looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jarrett moves into range and clinches up with Mac.

Mac tries to score a body lock takedown but Jarrett shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Jarrett doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Mac keeps control of Jarrett as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Mac wants a takedown but no success here.

Jarrett avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jarrett is trying to control the position from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mac looking to sit in guard and control but Jarrett gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jack Jarrett overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jarrett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mac swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jarrett would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Mac shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jarrett shoots in for a takedown but Mac shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mac takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mac connects with an inside leg kick.
Jarrett tries a head kick but it misses.
Mac tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jarrett defends well and Mac ends up having to push Jarrett into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Jarrett showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Jarrett has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
