The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chechov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Chechov closes the distance and pushes Lucas back into the cage.
Lucas wants to break free but Chechov has control.

Chechov gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Chechov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Chechov won't allow Lucas to get back to his feet.

Chechov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lucas, up you get!

Chechov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lucas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chechov.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Chechov is looking for a kimura but Lucas is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chechov to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chechov thows a huge punch but Lucas dodges it nicely.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Chechov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lucas did well to prevent Chechov getting side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lucas looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Lucas moves into the clinch.
Lucas jumps guard but Chechov turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Lucas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Lucas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chechov on the ground.

Lucas is rocked!

It looks like Lazaro Lucas has been cut.

Chechov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lucas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chechov.

Chechov scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Chechov drives through and clinches with Lucas against the cage.
Chechov lands a big right hand that drops Lucas! The killer instinct kicks in and Chechov finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Chechov!
