Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chip Hazard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Kovalev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hazard comes to the cage accompanied by Like Toy Soldiers. Alexei Kovalev told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chip Hazard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexei Kovalev!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazard throws an off balance right hand
and Kovalev counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kovalev has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hazard is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Kovalev changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hazard misses with a right hand
and Kovalev counters with a straight right hand.
Hazard connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Kovalev looks to land a combination but Hazard avoids it well.
A quick step to the side and Hazard tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
