Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Philo Beddoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beddoe's entrance music is Stranglehold/ Ted Nugent. A fine choice. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beddoe misses with a looping left.
Beddoe goes for a double leg but Bruce avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bruce continues to drive forward.
Bruce wants to counter the offense by Beddoe and move into the clinch position.
Bruce thuds his right hand into Beddoe's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Beddoe swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Beddoe dives in and grabs Bruce's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bruce pushes down on Beddoe's head and hops out.

I was talking to Beddoe's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bruce can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bruce really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beddoe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Beddoe! Submission of the night perhaps?
