Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frank Rizzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Parent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parent fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

I was talking to Rizzo's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Parent is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Rizzo has hold of one of Parent's legs. Parent is fighting the takedown attempt but Rizzo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Parent has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Rizzo has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Rizzo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Parent can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rizzo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Parent gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Parent shoots in for a double leg but Rizzo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Parent tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rizzo defends well and Parent ends up having to push Rizzo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Rizzo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Parent throws a shot from downtown. Rizzo moves away and avoids it.
Parent throws a hook to the side of Rizzo's head but Rizzo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Parent shoots in looking for a takedown. Rizzo tries to sprawl out of it but Parent keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rizzo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bobby Parent is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
