Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jimmy Conway!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conway misses with a two punch combination.
Conway's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Conway duly obliges.
Rex darts in trying to clinch
and Conway counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Conway works Rex's body with a nice hook.
Rex throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Rex showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Conway.
Conway throws a shot to the body.
Conway slips a jab and a cross from Rex.
Conway is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Jimmy Conway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rex misses with a looping right.
Conway dips to his left and cracks Rex with an uppercut!
Rex tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Conway defends well and Rex ends up having to push Conway into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Rex throws a sloppy head kick and Conway moves out of range easily.
Rex shoots in for a takedown but Conway shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rex walks into a straight right hand from Conway.
Conway goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Conway cracks Rex with a right hand to the side of the head.
Jimmy Conway is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Conway throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Conway closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Conway cracks Rex with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Rex was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Rex is trying to pull guard but Conway has him pressed against the cage.
Conway tries to circle away but Rex has him pinned against the cage.
Conway wants to get back to striking at distance but Rex won't allow it.

Conway tries to stand but Rex is controlling from the bottom.
Rex pulls Conway in close to prevent any damage.

Rex is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Rex stops Conway from getting back to his feet.
Rex throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Rex is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Conway doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rex.
Rex is keen to just control but Conway is a slippery customer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Conway connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Rex throws a jab when Conway was well out of range.

Conway lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Conway lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Horrible takedown attempt by Rex or perhaps it was just good defense by Conway, which made it look bad.
Conway displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rex.

Conway lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Conway.
Rex walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Conway stalks Rex and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rex's face. Rex staggers backwards, shaken.

Carn Rex is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Conway lands with a straight right. Rex didn't see that one coming.
Conway works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Rex bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Conway can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rex is looking to take a break and control but Conway is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rex goes for a double leg but Conway avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Conway continues to drive forward.
Nice straight punches there by Conway. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Conway.
Conway misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rex shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Conway as he avoids it easily.
Rex looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jimmy Conway showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Conway, as that shot connected.
Rex looks for a takedown but Conway sprawls well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Conway has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Conway might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rex changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conway tries to avoid it but Rex manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conway to the ground. Conway escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

I've got Conway winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
