Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boris Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iain Luxmoore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Iain Luxmoore has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luxmoore moves into the clinch.

Luxmoore shoots in for a double leg but Thomas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Luxmoore tries to land a front kick but Thomas steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Luxmoore counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Thomas is on top in guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Luxmoore throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thomas's waist but Thomas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Luxmoore off to one side.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Boris Thomas will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Thomas takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Thomas drives through and clinches with Luxmoore against the cage.
Luxmoore blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Thomas's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Thomas wants to take the fight to the mat but Luxmoore manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Thomas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Luxmoore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thomas forces Luxmoore back against the cage and clinches.
Luxmoore wants to get back to striking at distance but Thomas won't allow it.
Luxmoore is trying to break the clinch but Thomas has him pressed against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Thomas takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Boris Thomas will probably get the nod.

As Luxmoore tries to get set, Thomas tries to push him back and clinch up but Luxmoore manages to avoid the attempt.

Thomas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thomas wants it to stay on the feet.
Luxmoore changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thomas tries to avoid it but Luxmoore manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thomas to the ground. Thomas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Luxmoore is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Boris Thomas.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Thomas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
