Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shoto Murasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murasaki has chosen PRIDE FC Theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gabriel Souza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shoto Murasaki!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murasaki is looking to slow Souza down with leg kicks.
A punch combination from Murasaki misses.
Souza blocks the body kick.
Souza takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Gabriel Souza has been cut.
Murasaki misses with an attempted mid kick.
Souza drops down looking for a counter takedown but Murasaki sprawls and moves away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Souza crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Murasaki - the referee stops the clock and Souza gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Murasaki. Souza manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Souza throws a front kick aimed at Murasaki's knee but Murasaki avoids it well.
Murasaki steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
A nice inside leg kick there by Murasaki. That's going to slow Souza down.
Souza misses with the combination.
Murasaki follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Murasaki darts in and clinches Souza up against the ropes.

Murasaki has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Souza regains guard immediately.
Murasaki must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Souza has an active guard here but Murasaki has managed to pass into half guard.

Souza has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Murasaki. Oh but Souza has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Murasaki goes limp - he's gone! Souza jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
