Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricardo Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Miguel Grace!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grace drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Alves is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Alves working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Grace.

Grace is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Grace drops back looking for a leg! Alves is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alves manages to kick Grace off! Grace jumps back into Alves's guard.

Alves uses the ropes to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alves jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Alves swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Grace connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Alves misses with a hook. Grace ducked under it nicely.
Ricardo Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alves throws a body shot but no joy.
Grace lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
A low kick from Alves misses
and Grace counters with a nice body shot.
Alves swings widly with a right hand
and Grace counters with a big right hand! Oh Alves is in trouble here! Grace follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
