Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anibal Mcmahon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey McKenna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anibal Mcmahon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey McKenna!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McKenna closes the distance and pushes Mcmahon back into the cage.
McKenna looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Mcmahon really is a fat lump.
McKenna has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Mcmahon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Mcmahon shoots in and bounces McKenna off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

McKenna is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Mcmahon manages to break the clinch.

McKenna forces Mcmahon back against the cage and clinches.

Mcmahon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

McKenna drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mcmahon is trying to control the position but McKenna postures up.

McKenna wants to control from the top but Mcmahon keeps moving.
Mcmahon is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

McKenna clinches up against the cage.
McKenna looks to throw an elbow but misses.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mcmahon is trying to break free.

McKenna jumps guard.
McKenna controls Mcmahon momentarily but Mcmahon frees himself.
McKenna has a closed guard, preventing Mcmahon from standing up.

Mcmahon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McKenna, up you get!
McKenna slaps away a takedown attempt from Mcmahon, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mcmahon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McKenna wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Mcmahon wants to control but McKenna is keeping busy.
Mcmahon is trying to get back to full guard.

Mcmahon is looking to improve his position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
McKenna looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

McKenna feints and as Mcmahon raises his hands in defense, McKenna changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mcmahon trying to control the position.
Mcmahon wants to sweep here but McKenna controlling him for the moment.

McKenna avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McKenna sitting in guard here, content to control.
Mcmahon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

That's time! Mcmahon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


McKenna is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - McKenna looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Mcmahon tries to clinch but McKenna moves out of range.

Mcmahon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McKenna quickly recovers to half guard.

McKenna manages to escape and get back to his feet!
McKenna has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mickey McKenna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McKenna prevents Mcmahon from improving his position.
Mcmahon is looking to control McKenna's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mcmahon avoid being mounted?

Mcmahon wants to control but McKenna is keeping busy and won't allow it.
McKenna slows the pace down in half guard.

Mcmahon tries to regain full guard. Instead though, McKenna has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Mcmahon blocking the ground and pound.
Mcmahon tries to hold on but McKenna postures up.
Mcmahon can't escape the position.

Mcmahon is squirming around, avoiding McKenna's attempts to control the action.
Mcmahon tries to lock up and control but McKenna gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

McKenna sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

McKenna has control of Mcmahon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mcmahon regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Mcmahon is looking to get to half guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for McKenna. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Mcmahon tries to hold on but McKenna pushes him away.
Mcmahon is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mcmahon manages to regain half guard. Good work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

McKenna darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McKenna stalling.

McKenna is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mickey McKenna showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



McKenna shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mcmahon's guard.
McKenna sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mcmahon's guard.

Mcmahon is controlling McKenna's trapped leg to prevent McKenna from advancing to side control.

Mcmahon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McKenna is working away from the top position though.

McKenna feints and as Mcmahon raises his hands in defense, McKenna changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mcmahon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McKenna doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mcmahon is tightening it up a little... McKenna has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! McKenna reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! McKenna taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mcmahon!
