The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

da Fonseca fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mancheidas sprawls well initially but da Fonseca persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

da Fonseca uses his free foot to push down on Mancheidas's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mancheidas.

A lull in the action here as da Fonseca stalls from top position.

da Fonseca tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no da Fonseca has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
da Fonseca wants to control for a moment but Mancheidas uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Mancheidas wants to lay and pray for a moment but da Fonseca keeps working.
