Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rafael Inclan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, The Bong!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inclan tries for a takedown but Bong circles away easily

and Bong counters by clinching up.

Bong has picked Inclan up - he's going for a ride! Bong dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Bong is working for a submission of some sort.
Bong thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Inclan's head.
Bong wants to free his trapped foot but Inclan is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Bong seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Inclan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bong wants to pass to mount but Inclan is defending the position.

Bong seems to be working for a kimura but Inclan defends the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bong is working for a submission of some sort.
Bong wants to pass the guard but Inclan is defending well.

Bong is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Inclan defends it well.
Bong looks to land a strike but Inclan avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bong wants to control from the top but Inclan keeps moving.
Bong tries to free his leg and advance position but Inclan is retaining full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bong throwing strikes but missing.
Inclan keeping moving, preventing Bong from controlling successfully.
Bong trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bong scoring with punches to the head and body.
Bong works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Bong is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Inclan sees it coming and defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bong in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Inclan tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Bong!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). The Bong!
The Bong bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
