The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Horiguchi jabs Chouncheun right on the nose. Chouncheun blinks but takes it well.
A punch lands to the side of Horiguchi 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Chouncheun fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Horiguchi checks it well.
Chouncheun sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chouncheun takes a swing at Horiguchi's ribcage but misses.

Horiguchi thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Chouncheun if he has to take too many more of those.

Kyoji Horiguchi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Horiguchi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Horiguchi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Horiguchi throws a series of strikes that have Chouncheun backpedaling.

Chouncheun closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Chouncheun is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Horiguchi.

Chouncheun will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Horiguchi looks up at the clock. Bad move! Chouncheun lands a right hand from hell, dropping Horiguchi. Chouncheun pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
